Stratton Squelches Aberdeen Offense
|
The State College Spikes received a sterling performance from starting pitcher Joe Stratton, allowing them to shoot down the Aberdeen Ironbirds, 3-0. The Spikes, now 6-1, have stormed out of the gates.
Stratton gave State College a blue-ribbon performance. The 6-foot-0 right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 8 innings of work.
"Joe was outstanding," said State College manager Paul Thomas.
