ValleyCats Get Extra-Inning, 4-3 Win
|
The Tri-City ValleyCats picked up a win at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium, downing the Vermont Lake Monsters, 4-3, in 12 innings. On the mound for Tri-City was left-hander Alex Molina, who played a pivotal role in the win. Tri-City goes to 5-3 with the win.
Tri-City got a knockout punch from Kyle Denny. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 12th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"Alex was able to execute his pitches," said Tri-City manager Eddie DiGiovine. "Simple as that."
