Tigers Rally to Win
The Connecticut Tigers beat the Lowell Spinners, 4-2, at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. Jay Kelly, in particular, was impressive. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Reliever Edgar Castillo picked up the win. His record improves to 1-1. Carlos Platero took the loss. The Tigers raised their record to 6-3.

Connecticut took a 3-2 lead on Kelly's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which he hit off Carlos Platero in the bottom of the eighth, propelled Connecticut to the win.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Kelly told the Connecticut Gazette. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
