Spinners Pull Out Late Win, 8-7
Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Brooklyn Cyclones take on the Lowell Spinners.

Josh Ackles powered the Lowell Spinners to a win over the Brooklyn Cyclones. The final score was 8-7. The Lowell center fielder was a force to be reckoned with. He banged out 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. The winner was Jaylen Moody in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Mark Peterson took the loss. Eric Gore closed out the game, earning his 1st save.

In the top of the eighth, the Spinners grabbed the lead when Ackles hit his 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double off Mark Peterson made it 8-7, Lowell.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Ackles told the Lowell Chronicle.
