Barch Clouts 2 Homers in 8-4 Brooklyn Win
The Brooklyn Cyclones used the hitting of shortstop Trey Barch to subdue the Tri-City ValleyCats, 8-4. For the game, Barch went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Brooklyn pitcher Alpha Askew got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Brian Penn got the loss. Tri-City drops to 6-5.

With Brooklyn leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Barch came up to bat against Tri-City pitcher Brian Penn. Barch hit a cutter to left for a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Cyclones on top, 5-0.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Brooklyn manager Bernie Palma.
