Ripken Stadium was the site for New York-Penn League action featuring the Brooklyn Cyclones and Aberdeen Ironbirds.
John Healey, who is tied for 3rd in the NYP with a .481 on-base percentage, led Aberdeen to a win over Brooklyn. The final score was 11-6. The center fielder collected 3 extra-base hits, including 1 triple and 2 doubles. He also delivered 3 RBI. The loss puts Brooklyn at 6-5.
Matt Sexton was 1 for 3 for Aberdeen. In the bottom of the fifth, with the teams deadlocked, 6-6, Sexton delivered for the Ironbirds. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Aberdeen on top, 7-6.
