Late Magic Gets Aberdeen 7-5 Win
Rich Cruz was a vital contributor to the 7-5 Aberdeen victory over Vermont. The Ironbirds second baseman went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Aberdeen reliever Cameron Goodfellow picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Mike Loughridge was tagged with the loss. With the win, Aberdeen lifts its record to 2-9.

Cruz had a game-changing double in the bottom of the eighth. On a full count fastball from Mike Loughridge, he banged a run-scoring double to left, giving the Ironbirds a 5-4 lead. It was the 2nd double of the year for Cruz.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Cruz said after the game.
