McDonald Helps Scrappers Run Win Streak to 6
The Mahoning Valley Scrappers reigned over the Auburn Doubledays in damp conditions.

With first baseman Kelly McDonald leading the charge, the Mahoning Valley Scrappers defeated the Auburn Doubledays, 8-6, at Falcon Park. McDonald went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Danny Cruz earned the save for Mahoning Valley, his 3rd.

McDonald had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Scrappers went on to win.

"Hitting, winning. It's just contagious," said McDonald.

Auburn falls to 4-8.
