Spinners Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
Lowell Spinners starter Joe Sard was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Aberdeen Ironbirds, 6-2. Sard went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-1. With the loss, Aberdeen drops to 3-11.

Lowell left fielder Nick Lewis contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a curveball into right field for a 2-run single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put the Spinners ahead, 4-2.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Lewis, "one at-bat at a time."
