Brooklyn Keeps Trending in Wrong Direction
The Aberdeen Ironbirds topped the Brooklyn Cyclones, 4-3, in New York-Penn League action at MCU Park. The standout performance belonged to Aberdeen pitcher and Las Yayas de Viajama, Dominican Republic, native Oscar Lopez. Alex Delgado earned save number 2 this season. The win puts Aberdeen at 7-7.

Luke Bigley helped out the Aberdeen cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the first baseman was 1-4.

"We bring energy to every game," said losing manager Tom King. "But it's got to translate into wins."
