Spinners Deal Ironbirds 6-1 Defeat
|
The Lowell Spinners defeated the Aberdeen Ironbirds, 6-1, in New York-Penn League action at Edward A. LeLacheur Park. Lowell pitcher Eddie Grajeda had a standout performance. Grajeda, now 1-0, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Lowell now has a record of 6-9.
Manny Vega helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Spinners.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Vega said.
