Renegades Snatch Late Win
|
Hudson Valley pitcher Alex Cochrane did his part in helping his team beat the Tri-City ValleyCats, 5-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Cochrane, now 1-0, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 8, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Hudson Valley is now 13-2.
Hudson Valley used a timely hit from Kevin Rose to get the win. The right fielder stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Renegades ahead, 4-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
"Alex made his pitches," said Hudson Valley manager Jayden Davis.
