The Aberdeen Ironbirds defeated the Brooklyn Cyclones, 8-4, at MCU Park. Ray Mayfield produced 1 single and 2 doubles, while scoring 1 run and driving in 2. Dan Adams got the win, improving to 3-0. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 7 hits and no runs, while striking out 7 and walking 1. The defeat makes the Cyclones 5-10.

Aberdeen used a clutch at-bat from John Puffer to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Ironbirds ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Aberdeen manager Efrain Molinar.
