The State College Spikes got a superb performance from pitcher Ryan Perry. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Williamsport. The Crosscutters won the game, 3-1. Perry threw 5.1 innings allowing 3 runs. The win was credited to Miguel Corral in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Ryan Perry took the loss. Orlando Ontiveros finished the game for Williamsport and earned his 2nd save.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Crosscutters grabbed the lead when Mike Mason rapped a two-out single. Williamsport was trailing 1-0, when Mason hit a 2-run single off Ryan Perry to put his team in front, 2-1.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Mason. "And not try to do too much."

The Crosscutters, now 11-4, have hit the ground running this season.
