Lake Monsters Stick Tigers with 8-2 Loss
Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium was the site for New York-Penn League action featuring the Connecticut Tigers and Vermont Lake Monsters.

A good performance from left fielder Curt Lowery helped the Vermont Lake Monsters defeat the Connecticut Tigers, 8-2. Lowery went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Lake Monsters. The Tigers, now 4-11, continue their sluggish start.

Vermont took the lead in the top of the fifth when Lowery hit a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season made the score 2-1, Vermont.

"It feels good to get this one," Lowery told the Vermont Times.
