Tigers Handle Vermont, Snag 3-0 Win

Left-hander Francisco Nieves mesmerized the Vermont Lake Monsters while leading the Connecticut Tigers to a 3-0 victory. Javier Hernandez notched his 2nd save of the season. The Tigers now have a record of 9-9 with the win over Vermont.
Motoji Murakami chipped in a 2-run home run for Connecticut in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
