State College Makes It 9 Straight, Barely
|
The Connecticut Tigers went down to defeat to Jim Reich and his State College teammates. The final score was 3-2, Spikes, in 10 innings. Jorge Barajas, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.2 innings. The winning streak has now reached 9 games for State College.
The Spikes got a clutch hit from left fielder Ciddhatu Ramnarine. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Spikes.
"Everything seems to be clicking right now for us, top to bottom," said State College manager Paul Thomas.
