Roberts goes 4-for-5 to Ignite Tigers Offense
The Connecticut Tigers topped the Auburn Doubledays, 14-5, in New York-Penn League action at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Connecticut left fielder Scott Roberts. Miguel Rodarte, the winning pitcher, is now 2-0. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 5 runs on 10 hits, while fanning 5 and walking 0. Austin Cloutier closed it out for his 3rd save.

Early in the game, Roberts had a 2-run home run for Connecticut. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Tigers on top, 3-2.

"You start putting runs on the board and winning, everyone's going to get excited," said Roberts.

With the victory, the Tigers upped their record to 13-7.
