The Crosscutters grabbed a win, 3-2, at Bowman Field, overcoming a fine effort from Mahoning Valley pitcher Dustin Cox. Cox went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Williamsport reliever Orlando Tapia picked up the win to move to 2-0. Danny Cruz suffered the loss. The first-place Scrappers now sit at 12-8.

Richard Bertolucci was the walk-off hero for Williamsport. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Crosscutters left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Said Bertolucci: "What's not to like about a walk-off win?"
