Ironbirds Capture Extra-Inning Win
The outcome was not decided until the very end at Ripken Stadium.

In a low-scoring tilt between the Aberdeen Ironbirds and the Staten Island Yankees, 21-year old left-handed pitcher Adam Pollard was the difference-maker. The Aberdeen left-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win in 10 innings. Travis Glover came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. His record now stands at 1-0.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Aberdeen. That's when Andres Pulido, who is tied for 7th in the NYP in bases on balls with 11, hit a run-scoring double off Josh Phillips to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"The house was rockin'," said Pulido.

The Ironbirds improved their record to 14-6 with the win over Staten Island.
