Brooklyn used a superb performance from starting pitcher Eli Adams to down the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, 5-0. The loss makes Mahoning Valley 16-5.

Adams, a native of Holmen, Wisconsin, was dealing all game. He kept Mahoning Valley hitters off-balance, while giving the Cyclones 8 quality innings. Adams threw 125 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 8.

"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Adams.
