Doubledays Take Down Spikes, 2-1
The Auburn Doubledays relied on a great performance from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Brenden Allison to beat the State College Spikes, 2-1, in 10 innings at Falcon Park. The winner in relief was Josh Wainwright. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. The loss makes State College 11-10.

The Doubledays got a clutch hit from first baseman Chris Angers. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Doubledays.

"Every loss hurts," said State College manager Paul Thomas. "But this was a tough one."
