Ironbirds Suffer 5-2 Loss to Brooklyn
|
Starting pitcher Ryan Schulte had a solid game. He was a big reason the Brooklyn Cyclones throttled the Aberdeen Ironbirds, 5-2. The save was credited to Josh Colbert, his 5th. The Cyclones, at 10-12, inhabit third place in the McNamara Division.
Monte Garza aided the Brooklyn cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop drove in one run.
"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Brooklyn manager Bernie Palma.
