Aberdeen beat Tri-City in a rain-soaked ballgame.

Aberdeen left fielder Franklin Rincon had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Tri-City ValleyCats, 9-3. Kenny Coley picked up the win in relief. Bobby Vega took the loss for Tri-City.

Aberdeen used the hitting of Shane Pendleton to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Ironbirds on top, 4-3. For the game, Pendleton had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Whenever I help the team," said Rincon, "I feel like I earned my paycheck."

Aberdeen is first in the McNamara Division with a record of 14-9.
