In a low-scoring affair between the Williamsport Crosscutters and the Connecticut Tigers, pitcher Jose Berrios was the difference between victory and defeat. The Williamsport right-hander earned kudos in the 3-2 Crosscutters win. Macho Ceja earned the save for Williamsport, his 1st of the year. Yes, it was a win for Williamsport; but their 7-16 record is still nothing to boast about.

Williamsport right fielder Ben Purpura helped the Crosscutters go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Purpura hit a run-scoring single off Connecticut pitcher Bill Sanchez.

In comments to the Williamsport Daily, Berrios admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
