Soriano Lifts Ironbirds to 12-4 Triumph
The Aberdeen Ironbirds captured an easy win, 12-4, over the Brooklyn Cyclones at Ripken Stadium. Gustavo Soriano led the offensive barrage, going 3-for-4 for Aberdeen. Picking up the save was 23-year old left-handed pitcher Bill Howard. The last-place Cyclones dropped to 7-17.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Ironbirds grabbed the lead when Soriano hit his 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double off Eloy Ferrer made it 4-3, Aberdeen.

"We lit up the scoreboard," said Aberdeen manager Efrain Molinar.
