Mahoning Valley took on Lowell in front of a lively crowd.

Lowell second baseman John Ure had a good game, even if his team did not. The Spinners dropped a 6-3 decision to Mahoning Valley at Edward A. LeLacheur Park. Ure was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win makes Mahoning Valley 12-12.

Mahoning Valley won the game in part because of Josh Sharp. The left fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Scrappers ahead, 2-0. For the game, Sharp had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"Good team win," Sharp said. "I love it when a plan comes together."
