Batavia Stopped, 6-0, by Connecticut
|
The rain came, as predicted, but the Connecticut Tigers and Batavia Muckdogs were able to complete their ballgame.
Connecticut starter Jose Olivas put a stranglehold on the Batavia offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Tigers to a 6-0 win. Connecticut is now 11-14, while Batavia is 8-17.
Min-u Hyong hit a run-scoring double off Robby Burgos in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Tigers in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Hyong had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"In this profession, you've got to put the good and the bad behind you quickly," Batavia skipper Jake Landen said.
