Getting an impressive start from Nate Dickel, State College beat Brooklyn by the score of 5-1. Dickel got the win, improving to 4-1. He gave up 6 hits and walked 3 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Trent Berry closed the game out for State College, earning his 4th save.

State College used the clutch hitting of Danny Vance to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Spikes the lead, 3-1. For the game, Vance had 2 singles and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said State College manager Paul Thomas. "It's usually not just one thing."

State College, at 15-10, occupies second place in the Pinckney Division.
