Aberdeen pitcher Oscar Ramos had a large part in his team beating the Batavia Muckdogs, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The save went to Matthew Bagley, number 1 for him. The Ironbirds, at 18-9, sit in second place in the McNamara Division.

Aberdeen used a clutch at-bat from Eric Meyers to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Ironbirds ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"When I throw strikes I'm good, if I don't I'm not very good," said Ramos. "So I just have to throw strikes."
