Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Williamsport Crosscutters take on the State College Spikes.

The Williamsport Crosscutters racked up a win at Bowman Field, bumping off the State College Spikes, 5-4, in 10 innings. Ramon Pabtojas, who started for Williamsport, pitched effectively for his team. The Crosscutters improved their record to 14-13 with the win over State College.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Williamsport designated hitter Roberto Heredia, facing Dennis Galeana, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Crosscutters the 5-4 win.

"Ramon was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Williamsport manager B.J. Olenchuk.
