The Batavia Muckdogs picked up a win at Dwyer Stadium, knocking off the Lowell Spinners, 3-2. Starting pitcher Willie Herrera played a key role in the triumph. The Muckdogs sport a record of 10-18.

Danny Lindblom had a big solo home run for the Muckdogs in the bottom of the third inning. With Batavia leading 2-0 and the bases empty, he got a fastball from Julio Mendoza and swatted a home run to right. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Muckdogs ahead, 3-0.

"Tough loss," said Lowell manager Mike Medlock. "But we'll rebound from it."
