In a low-scoring game between State College and Williamsport, Mario Morales was fantastic. The Spikes right-hander, who leads the NYP in strikeouts with 53, helped his team beat the Crosscutters, 2-1, in 10 innings. The Spikes improved their record to 16-12 with the win over Williamsport.
The Crosscutters had trouble solving Morales, who surrendered 1 run on 6 hits over 8.2 innings.
"We were in it," said Williamsport manager B.J. Olenchuk. "We just didn't score enough runs."
