Connecticut Tigers starter Mike Lea pitched a strong game against the Tri-City ValleyCats at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium, leading the Tigers to victory, 5-4. With the win, the Tigers improved to 17-12.

The decisive blow was delivered by Rob Castillo in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 2-run home run off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Jamie Coelho to win the game for Connecticut. The home crowd went nuts.

"We didn't let this one get away," said Lea.
