Donovan Butler was a vital contributor to the 6-5 Tri-City victory over Lowell. The ValleyCats catcher was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Paul Neff recorded his 1st save for Tri-City. With the win, Tri-City pushed its record to 15-15.

Butler had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Lorenzo Reyes, he banged a 2-run home run to center, giving the ValleyCats a 6-4 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Butler.

"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said Tri-City skipper Eddie DiGiovine. "It's important to have different ways to do it."
