Connecticut catcher Brendon Perez played a vital role in his team's 5-4 conquest of Hudson Valley. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs for Connecticut. Connecticut is last in the Stedler Division with a record of 14-16.

The Renegades had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Tigers going into the top of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old center fielder Mark Mackey came to the plate. Mackey hit a 2-run home run on a 2-2 fastball from Hudson Valley hurler Germano Folha. It was Mackey's 3rd home run of the year.

"We were the better team," crowed Mackey.
