The Connecticut Tigers took Chad Bergeron's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. The final score had Connecticut getting past the Cyclones, 3-2, in 10 innings. Bergeron over 7 innings allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 9. The win was credited to Jorge Cordero in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Ethan Doering took the loss. The Tigers, at 17-15, sit in first place in the Stedler Division.

The Tigers got a clutch hit from shortstop Rich Thomas. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Tigers.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Matt Wetherington, the Connecticut manager.
