Batavia Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Batavia Muckdogs picked up a win at Dwyer Stadium, knocking off the Auburn Doubledays, 6-3, in 10 innings. On the mound for Batavia was right-hander Raul Jimenez. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. Willie Herrera picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-2. John Jenkins was tagged with the loss. The 'W' lifts Batavia's record to 13-19.

The decisive blow was delivered by Danny Lindblom in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 3-run home run off 22-year old left-handed pitcher John Jenkins to win the game for Batavia. The home crowd went nuts.

"Raul did what Raul does," said Batavia manager Pat Gilman.
