Renegades Reel Off Another Win
|
Hudson Valley and Vermont played a hard-fought contest.
The Hudson Valley Renegades beat the Vermont Lake Monsters by a score of 3-2. Hudson Valley left fielder Ryan Kaplan deserved the lion's share of the credit. Kaplan went 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI for the Renegades. At 28-5, the Renegades are currently first in the McNamara Division.
With Hudson Valley leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Kaplan hit a 2-run single off Vermont hurler Alex Dezesus. It was the 35th hit of the season for Kaplan and put his team ahead, 3-0.
"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Kaplan.
