Lowell Wins, Sandy reaches base 3 times
|
Lowell catcher Ethan Sandy had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Tri-City ValleyCats, 5-0. Tyler Ropson collected save number 1. The first-place Spinners now have a record of 23-10.
With Lowell leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Sandy hit a curveball from Matt Myers for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Spinners ahead, 4-0.
Said losing manager Alex Ordonez: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
