Tigers Lose Versus West Virginia, 5-4
The West Virginia Black Bears racked up a win at Russell Diethrick Park, bumping off the Connecticut Tigers, 5-4. Quinn Roach, who started for West Virginia, pitched effectively for his team. Jason Taylor got credit for the save for West Virginia. It was his 4th of the year. The Black Bears are now 24-11.

Jacob Holloway was 1-4 with a walk for West Virginia. With two out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Holloway, who is tied for 3rd in the NYP in stolen bases with 12, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Connecticut hurler Josh Bindus, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Black Bears a 5-4 lead.

West Virginia manager Rodolfo Lara said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
