Victory Takes Spikes to 21-14
State College picked up a win at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, bumping off the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, 7-2. Pitcher Nate Dickel was a major reason the Spikes emerged victorious. Dickel, now 6-1, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. The loss makes Mahoning Valley 19-16.

Santos Gonzales helped out the State College cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the first baseman was 2 for 4 with a triple.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Gonzales told the State College Gazette. "But we take nothing for granted."
