Williamsport Falls Again, 7-3
|
Josh Johnson was a major factor in the 7-3 Aberdeen win over Williamsport. The Ironbirds center fielder was 3 for 3 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2. Aberdeen has now won 9 games in a row.
Johnson had a game-changing double in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch changeup from Manny Serrano, he banged a run-scoring double to left-center, giving the Ironbirds a 2-1 lead. It was the 1st double of the year for Johnson.
"We need to get back to basics," said Williamsport manager Joe Hale.
