Aberdeen Draws Blanks Against Lerma
Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Aberdeen Ironbirds as starter Carlos Lerma shut them out, 11-0, at Ripken Stadium. The Mahoning Valley pitcher struck out 7 and walked 1 while allowing 5 hits.

"Lerma was good but he wasn't flawless," Aberdeen manager Jose Sierra said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Mahoning Valley, but this is on us."
