Scrappers Rally For Late Win Over Crosscutters
Mahoning Valley got a strong outing from Bobby Harmsen as the Scrappers defeated the Williamsport Crosscutters, 3-2, at Eastwood Field. Dave Barbee, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 0.1 innings. Danny Cruz collected save number 4.

Mahoning Valley took a 3-2 lead on Jake Krause's 1st double of the season. The 2-run double, which Krause hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Williamsport pitcher Ben Zapata visibly frustrated.

Harmsen called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."

Mahoning Valley now sits at 20-17, while Williamsport falls to 17-20.
