The Auburn Doubledays beat the Williamsport Crosscutters, 12-1, at Bowman Field. Auburn designated hitter J.J. Braun had the hot bat. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Mike Carr picked up the win, lifting his record to 3-2 on the season. He struck out 7 and walked 2 in 5.1 innings, while yielding no runs. Picking up the save was 25-year old left-handed pitcher Eric Staat.

Auburn used the hitting of Brett Baughman to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the Doubledays on top, 4-0. For the game, Baughman had 1 home run and 2 singles in 6 at-bats.

"We hit the ball hard," said Auburn manager Carlos Lugo. "Line drive after line drive."

The victory gives the Doubledays a record of 22-16.
