The Brooklyn Cyclones topped the Lowell Spinners, 5-3, at Edward A. LeLacheur Park. Brooklyn third baseman Kevin Dye was a spark plug for the offense. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The victory gives Brooklyn a record of 20-18.

Dye had a key at-bat for Brooklyn in the top of the second. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and gave Brooklyn an early 4-0 lead.

"I put some good swings on the ball," said Dye.
