Alanis, Ironbirds Get Tidy 3-1 Win Over Auburn
|
Aberdeen got a first-rate effort from pitcher Alex Alanis, who frustrated Auburn hitters en route to a 3-1 Ironbirds triumph at Falcon Park. The loss makes Auburn 16-22.
Alanis was the winning pitcher. He raised his season record to 2-4. In 8 innings of work, Alanis gave up 1 run on 3 hits, while striking out 5. The Doubledays were never able to generate much offense.
"I tried to establish all my pitches early," said Alanis.
