Victory Over Lake Monsters Takes Connecticut to 23-14
The Connecticut Tigers and Vermont Lake Monsters obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.

In a close game at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium, the Connecticut Tigers edged the Vermont Lake Monsters, 5-4. Connecticut first baseman Josh Prinz stood apart with his performance. He was 1 for 2 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. At 23-14, the Tigers are currently first in the Stedler Division.

Prinz had a timely hit for Connecticut in the bottom of the seventh. With Connecticut trailing 4-2, he turned a 2-2 splitter into a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season, making it 5-4, Connecticut.

"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Connecticut manager Allen Franklin.
