Scrappers Take Down Crosscutters, 4-3
The Mahoning Valley Scrappers wiggled past the Williamsport Crosscutters, 4-3, at Eastwood Field. The win was highlighted by the performance of Mahoning Valley pitcher Nicol Reijnders. Mahoning Valley now sits at 28-10, while Williamsport falls to 29-9.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the tenth, an error by the Crosscutters allowed the Scrappers to score the winning run.

Fry said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
