Riding the 2-hit performance of the 18-year old center fielder Will Katzer, the Aberdeen Ironbirds defeated the Brooklyn Cyclones, 10-1. Carlos Ramos snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-0 on the season. Matt Lowe suffered the loss. Aberdeen is now 29-10, while Brooklyn is 20-19.

With Aberdeen leading 6-1 in the bottom of the eighth, Katzer came up to bat against Brooklyn pitcher Garrett Schrupp. Katzer hit a fastball to left for a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Ironbirds on top, 10-1.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Brooklyn manager Kevin Stark. "We got trounced."
