Losing Skid Reaches 7 Games for Cyclones
|
The Tri-City ValleyCats earned a close win over the Brooklyn Cyclones, thanks in part to Adam Bailey. The Tri-City right-hander, who is tied for 8th in the NYP in strikeouts with 56, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. With this game in the books, Tri-City is 21-19, Brooklyn 15-25.
Tri-City used the hitting of Brandon Davis to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the ValleyCats on top, 2-0. For the game, Davis had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Same old, same old, unfortunately," said losing manager Tom King.
