Tri-City Tacks 1-0 Loss on Brooklyn
|
Elard Spierenburg, who is tied for 4th in the NYP in complete games with 1, was in top form in a tight contest between Tri-City and Brooklyn. The ValleyCats right-hander helped his team beat the Cyclones, 1-0. The win puts the ValleyCats at 23-17, while the Cyclones drop to 14-26.
Tri-City went up, 1-0, on Jalen Wade's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which Wade hit in the top of the seventh, left Brooklyn pitcher Leo Martinez shaking his head.
Wade attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
