3-1 Triumph Runs Tigers Streak to 6 Games

Both offenses were relatively subdued at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. Fortunately for the Connecticut Tigers, though, Edgar Perez was able to deliver in the clutch. He threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball, to lead his team past the Lowell Spinners, 3-1. At 25-14, Connecticut is in first place in the Stedler Division.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Tigers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when center fielder J.D. Dadswell hit a 2-run single. The single came off David Pando and made the score 3-0, Tigers. Dadswell went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs.
Dadswell said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
