Connecticut right fielder Joel Vasquez was sensational. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Lowell beat the Tigers, 6-5. Reliever Donovan Scott picked up the win. His record improves to 3-0. Bonifacio Guita took the loss. Lowell is now 26-15, Connecticut 24-17.

Dennis Grice was the walk-off hero for Lowell. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Spinners center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The crowd went wild," Grice said.
