Lizaso Excels in 9-1 Auburn Win
No one was more impactful than Matthew Lizaso in the 9-1 Auburn win over West Virginia. Lizaso was 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Picking up the win was David Torres. He went 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits. The left--hander struck out 9 and walked 3. Xavier Crawford collected save number 1.

With Auburn leading 5-1 in the bottom of the sixth, Lizaso came up to bat against West Virginia pitcher Arturo Flores. Lizaso hit a fastball to right for a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Doubledays on top, 9-1.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said West Virginia manager Carlos Guerrero.
