Behind a fine performance from Brendan Fry, the West Virginia Black Bears knocked off the Williamsport Crosscutters, 8-3. Fry went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Black Bears. West Virginia is 4th in the Pinckney Division with a record of 20-21.

West Virginia used the clutch hitting of Dusty Medina to snag the win. The shortstop drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Black Bears ahead, 8-3. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Fry.
