The Connecticut Tigers walked off with a big win.

The Connecticut Tigers wiggled past the West Virginia Black Bears, 4-3, at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. The win was highlighted by the performance of Connecticut pitcher Steve Exner. Victor Mejia snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 2 innings. He's now 3-0 on the season.

The Tigers got a clutch hit from left fielder Edwin Perez. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Tigers.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Perez said.

The Tigers raised their record to 23-19.
