ValleyCats Tag Cyclones with 3-0 Loss
|
Tri-City and Brooklyn duked it out and the ValleyCats came out victorious.
Tri-City pitcher Justin Hose had a large part in his team beating the Brooklyn Cyclones, 3-0. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Hose got the win, improving to 6-1. He gave up 4 hits and walked 3 over 6 innings. He allowed no runs. Neal Furey sewed up the save, his 6th.
Ryan O'Dell, who is tied for 10th in the NYP in stolen bases with 9, had a direct impact on the outcome. O'Dell contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Tri-City up, 1-0.
"Justin can pitch. He moves the ball around," said Tri-City manager Eddie DiGiovine.
The ValleyCats now have a mark of 20-22.
